Two shipping containers in a San Francisco loft

In 2007 Jeff Wardell and Claudia Sagan purchased a 3,200-square- foot former laundry and tooth-powder factory in order to make a loft conversion. They wanted to keep the space open as much as possible (they sleeping room is the only room that is seperated from the rest of the loft). They wanted to create a home office and a guest bedroom without cluttering the space... So they decided to use two shipping containers ! What a crazy fabulous idea !

2150 square feet loft in Manhattan / Tribeca

It is not for nothing that it is said that New York is the capital of the lofts in the world. After the loft in Brooklyn, I take you to Manhattan. Specifically in the Tribeca neighborhood located between Soho and Wall Street to visit a loft of 2150 square feet rehabilitated in 1998 by the New York architectural firm Morris Sato Studio.

The interior design of the loft is a perfect blend of minimalist and contemporary style. Natural light enters through large windows in the loft with the respect of the original architecture of the building. The large windows also allow a view over the old building cross the street.

Loft conversion of an old factory

8070 square feet for one loft !

This old factory of 8070 square feet on six levels is located in the north of France. It has been transformed into only one 8070 square feet loft on six levels. This is not common because most of the time old factories exceeding 8000 square feet are most of the time bought by promoters in order to create several lofts. With 8070 square feet on six levels it would have been possible to create six lofts... I'll stop writing and let you discover the pictures of the loft.

This loft is really amazing, enormous and full of style. It is available for rent for shooting. You can contact me for more informations.

Hi and welcome to Loft addict. I am Freg, a french blogger living in the north of France. In 2007 with my wife we created Notre Loft, a french website about lofts in order to share our passion for addiction to lofts (due to the textile past, there are a lot of lofts in the North of France). Within three years Notre Loft has become a reference to get information about lofts on the Internet in France and now we want to share our passion and promote loft living towards people from all over the world so we decided to create a blog in english: Loft addict.

Welcome on board and enjoy the lofts !
